That time of year is fast approaching and what a better time than now than to do a post about what you can do to make your Valentine feel special this weekend!! The ideas are all things from crafty and romantic to cooperative and loving so hopefully there is something here which you can see and like! I hope you enjoy.. Let’s get stuck in!!
What better way to celebrate your love and spice up the evening, with your loved one than to have a cocktail making session! This is very simple and makes for a very romantic evening! You can even trial and error to see what you like, maybe even find a new drink that you both love!
Below are a few Valentine’s cocktail ideas that you may find appealing!
This is a beautiful drink, just a clear red liquid in the glass. You don’t even need any sort of garnish to make it look even more attractive.. However if you did want to add in a cherry or two it adds an extra something to the glass!
- 1 ounce vodka
- 1/2 ounce white Creme de Cacao
- 1 ounce cranberry juice
Kiss on the lips
Put the peach schnapps, frozen mango and crushed ice into a blender and blend in spurts until it is smooth. Pour the grenadine into the bottom of a cocktail glass and then pour the blended mixture in over the top of it. Garnish with a pineapple slice and cherry.
- 1 1/2 ounces peach schnapps
- 5 ounces frozen mango mix
- 1 tablespoon grenadine
- 2 cups crushed ice
The lady killer
This is a drink to relax with. It’s a pretty likeable drink for most people – even those who don’t love gin. You can use any gin that you like, however i do suggest Bombay Sapphire as it has a smooth taste to it, perfest for this cocktail! Serve with crushed ice in a champagne flute, could also garnish with a cherry for extra detail!
- 1 ounce dry gin
- 1/2 ounce Cointreau
- 1/2 ounce apricot brandy
- 2 ounces passion fruit juice
- 2 ounces pineapple juice
Spice up your bubbly!
This is a pretty simple idea which is also very effective! If you are celebrating your Valentine’s night with a bottle of bubbly how about drop a couple of raspberries into champagne flutes before pouring in the bubbly?
Alternatively, you could also invest in some Chambord Raspberry liqueur and drop a dash of that in after ouring for an extra, subtle, taste.

Coooooorr.. Who doesnt love dessert?! Food is something all couples bond over, so why not go to a restaurent and just have dessert? It’s a sweet ending to your day together. To make the evening more interesting how about you order for eachother and see how that goes, get to know what your partner does and doesnt like!
Failing that, you could make your own desserts in your home and enjoy them just in the company of eachother.
Conversation stones are a good source of entertainment and a great way to remember old memories and even make decisions. They will get the conversation flowing between you and your partner. Super easy to make and such a good longterm gift as these can be used over again! I have linked a site which had a good detailed step by step guide on how to create these to make the day more interesting. The site also has free printable “conversations” to use, but you can also make your own and decorate them however you want!
You could also use these at family get togethers or evenings with friends to remember the good ol’ days!!
5. Afternoon Tea!!
If you are at all into afternoon tea you will enjoy doing this on Valentine’s day with your partner. The intimate experience with the finger sandwiches and cakes will have you set for the day! 6. The movies!!
Spend a day at the local movie theater!! See as many films as you can cram into one sitting! Take a time out half way through and go out for dinner somewhere nice. Its a casual date day! Make sure you dress comfortabley though, is it even acceptable to wear pyjamas in the movies? If not, then it should be!!
If the lucky lady in your life has seen the Valentine’s 2016 Pandora collection and not fallen in love with every single item in it, then there’s something wrong!! The new collection is fresh and has such a luxurious look about it. The peices include charms, earings, necklaces and rings in various metals which are all centered around the love theme, quite obviously, so there are a lot of pinks, hearts and red colours in the collection. This is more of a pricey gift if you are on a budget, there is actually something in the collection to suit all budgets, take a look at it for yourself here.
Also at the moment Pandora have an offer of where if you spend £125+ in one transaction they will gift you a Pandora jewellery box!!
8. Netflix and Chill!!
Netflix is the greatest thing to do when you are home alone with your partner, find a show or film to watch, put your feet up, grab a blanket, grab the popcorn and put the kettle on! To make the evening even more cosy and chill, you could order a take away to enjoy with your Valentine!
9. Explore somewhere new!!
Go away for a long weekend and make the most of your time together! Explore the streets and sites that the new city or area has to offer and lose yourself in the beauty of nature together. Take some super cute candid pictures of eachother to make a nice memory, you’ll soon see the pure beauty of the world once you explore it with the one you love.
10. Couples spa treatments!!
Because what’s more funny than seeing your man with a face mask on being pampered by your side? This is a very intimate experience and will relax you both until you feel weightless.
